AMARILLO, Tex. – With the tolerances on wind turbine gearboxes getting closer and closer, the need to make sure new gear oil is absolutely clean has never been greater. With that in mind Sage Oil Vac’s Gear Oil Exchange System comes standard with the high-performance CC Jensen Filtration Unit.
The CC Jensen Filtration Unit has a 3-micron absolute filter with a high dirt-holding capacity and a cellulose-based filter insert that removes particles, retains oil degradation products (oxidation resin/sludge, varnish), and absorbs dissolved/emulsified and free water from oil. Installed on the Sage Oil Vac Gear Oil Exchange System, the CC Jensen unit can be operated overnight to filter new oil 2-3 times and achieve ISO-approved cleanliness levels.
Sage Oil Vac chose the CC Jensen Filtration Unit after several months of comprehensive research on available systems.
“CC Jensen is a market leader in oil filtration systems for wind turbines with more than 15 years experience in the industry,” said Phil Seidenberger, Sage’s Vice President of Product Development. “Our customers know the unit is high quality and that it works.”
The CC Jensen Filtration Unit is one of many features that is propelling Sage Oil Vac’s Gear Oil Exchange System to prominence in the wind turbine maintenance industry. Built around Sage Oil Vac’s innovative vacuum technology, the Gear Oil Exchange System provides safe, fast and clean fluid changes on gearboxes hundreds of feet above the ground. Standard operating features include a fluid flush system, a heating system, 110% secondary containment pan, Barrel Straw and an air compressor.
Sage Oil Vac has been manufacturing lube equipment for on-site oil exchanges since 1993.
